Here's how I think it makes the most sense. I think the rapture is based on the harvests.
I Corinthians 15:22-24
For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end.
And also
Deuteronomy 16:16
Three times in a year shall all the males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread {Passover - the firstfruits}, and in the feast of weeks {Pentecost - harvest of the Church}, and in the feast of tabernacles...{gleanings of Tribulation saints}
These feasts were scheduled according to the times of harvest in Israel, just as God will harvest the earth in the first resurrection. Every harvest has three crops: The firstfruits; (that ripen early, before the main harvest), then the main harvest; and then the gleanings (that ripen later). So is the first resurrection!
The rest of the dead (the unrighteous dead) are not raised until after a thousand years.
So, here are the three parts: the firstfruits, the main harvest, and the gleanings.
(2) The second part, which is the main harvest (they that are Christ's at his coming) is the rapture of the bride. The bodies of physically dead saints (those who believed in Jesus) are raised incorruptible, and the bodies of the living saints are changed. Thessalonians 4:13-18 and I Corinthians 15:42-57
(3) The third part, the gleanings are the tribulation saints. Revelation 14:15,16
As in the days of Noah, one will be taken and one left. [/ul]
The phrase "Come up hither" is found three times in the Bible.
(2) Revelvation 4:1 for the rapture of the harvest, the Church.
(3) And Revelvation 11:12 for the rapture of the gleanings, the Tribulation saints. [/ul]

- Firstfruit saints are typified by Lazarus.
- Enoch was a Gentile who was caught up, as the Church will be. His translation, as that of the Church, was secret.
- Elijah has a witness to his chariot of fire as do the Tribulation saints.
